Fun Times with Wood and Paper
This Christmas I ended up doing a couple quick paintings on wood for my newest nephew and niece. I had a bunch of fun with these.
I also busted out a brand new x-acto and tried my hand at making a paper cutout shadow box for one friends son. My first time and definitely not the last. He had the great idea of having his friends each do a letter of the little guys name however they wanted as long as we used the font and size specs he provided. I scored the "X" and went for a Chicago skyline construction theme. The space I was working in was around 5" x 5"....soooper tight quarters. I managed to cannibalize an electronic flameless candle and dropped it in between the background and skyline so the little guy can have a light show at night. Fun stuff!
